Two people are dead after a car rolled over and hit a tree in Holliston Saturday night, police say.

At 9:53 p.m., Holliston Police Department responded to a report of a crash near 717 Highland Street, the department said in a press release.

A preliminary investigation showed that the car had been driving fast on the southbound side of the street when it rolled over, left the road and hit a tree.

Both the driver and a single passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither have yet been publicly identified.

The crash is under investigation by Holliston Police Department, Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex District Attorney鈥檚 Office.
